Bud Feltz, 89, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, accompanied by his loving family. Born and raised in Sibley, Iowa, Bud cherished his small-town roots before settling in Sioux City, where he built a successful career and a beautiful life with his family.
For 35 years, Bud was a highly respected real estate agent, known for his integrity, dedication, and passion for helping families find their homes. His warm personality and deep knowledge of the community earned him the trust of clients and colleagues alike.
Beyond his career, Bud was a sports fan, cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes. He also found great joy on the golf course (including making a hole in one), where he spent countless afternoons with his closest friends enjoying a few friendly wagers, shared stories and laughs.
Above all, he was a devoted husband and father survived by his beloved wife, Julie. Julie’s children, Megan Cordova and Luke Twyford, and his five children, Lisa Sefcik (Tom) of Pocahontas, Ia., Cherie Short (Dale) of Manhattan Beach, Ca., Todd Feltz (Amy) and Dan Feltz (Julie) both in Omaha Ne., and Steve Feltz (Amy) of West Des Moines, Ia. His legacy of love and kindness lives on through his 25 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.
Bud’s family and friends will forever cherish his stories, humor, and unwavering love. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories and ‘Bud’ism’s that will be repeated often and treasured always.
A celebration of Bud’s life will be held on Saturday, March 1st at Holy Cross Parish, St. Michael Catholic Church. Rosary 9:30am, followed by visitation 10:00am, and service 11:00am.
Rest easy, Bud! Your kindness and spirit will never be forgotten.
