Michael Edward “Hank” Hendricks, 71, of North Palm Beach Florida passed away on May 15, 2022 after a lengthy illness. A Memorial Visitation will be on Monday, July 18, 2022 from Noon until 2:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Opportunity to share memories of Hank will begin at 1:00 p.m. within the visitation schedule. Hank was born on January 19,1951 in Sioux City Iowa. After graduating from Heelan High School in 1969, he capped his studies with a degree from Briar Cliff University.
Hank worked his entire 50-year career in the gaming industry, moving often between seasons to multiple states, settling eventually in Florida where he rose to senior management positions in the dog racing, horse racing and jai alai industries. For years he made an annual trek to the Kentucky Derby to be part of the crew staging the consummate event in his field. He traveled extensively to visit many of his clan in various locations including multiple visits to Europe. You could rely on him to deliver cards and notes throughout the year for special events in your life.
He is survived by his mother, Carol M. Hendricks of Sioux City; 9 siblings: Thomas Jr (Linda) Hendricks, Patrick (Amy) Hendricks, Jim (Michelle) Hendricks, Joe Hendricks, Mary Tope, Carol S. (Don) Drilling, John “Louie” (Barb Cameron) Hendricks, Tim (Lauri) Hendricks and Mark (Shelley) Hendricks.
Hank shared the last 12 years with his partner Denise Carlson who cared for, and was with him, to the end.
Hank was predeceased by his father, Thomas Hendricks Sr.
