Mildred M. Lukken, 80, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Monday, February 6, 2012 at a Sioux City hospital.Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca, NE with Pastor Jerry Gilbreath officiating. Burial will be in Silverridge Cemetery in rural Ponca. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 5-8PM, with the family present from 6-8PM. She attended Country School District #19 west of Ponca. She married Odin C. Lukken on December 25, 1948. The couple farmed west of Ponca from 1955 to 1975. Mildred also worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses in Sioux City, IA. She moved to South Sioux City, in 1976, and she retired in 1998.After retirement Mildred loved to travel, read and spend time with her family.She was a member of First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City, NE.Survivors include 3 sons, Larry O. (Myra) Lukken, Randy J. Lukken and Dennis D. (Teri) Lukken, all of Ponca, NE; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Elmer Kamrath of Ponca, NE and Marvin (Glenda) Kamrath of Sheldon, IA; sister, Dorothy Becker of Okabena, MN; and many nieces and nephews.Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Elsie Kamrath; brother, Wilford Kamrath; sisters-in-law, Ramona and Cecila Kamrath; brothers-in-law, Darrell Lukken and Herman Becker.
