Muriel "Merle" Moseman, 95, of Wakefield, NE passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne, NE.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Emerson, NE. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service time Saturday at the funeral home.Muriel Jean "Merle" Moseman was born on September 4, 1922 on a farm near Allen, NE, the daughter of Argo and Julia (Nelson) Dixon. As a young girl, she moved with her family to a farm in South Dakota, then moved back to Allen in 1939.Merle married Densel Moseman on December 23, 1947 in Sioux City. They made their home in Sioux City for more than 31 years. In 1980, they moved to rural Emerson. Merle worked many different jobs over the years, but she was mainly a homemaker. She loved spending time in the garden and with her flowers.Muriel is survived by her husband, Densel of Wakefield; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; six sisters, Beryle, Ferne, Violet, Hazel, Marion and Wanda; and three brothers, Jess, Joe and Jerry.
