Nancy M. Bianchini

Nancy M. Bianchini, 92, of South Sioux City, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022.  Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church in South Sioux City.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service time at the church.  

Nancy was born the daughter of Albert and Margaret (Smith) Thacker, Sr. on April 8, 1930 in Sioux City, Iowa.  She graduated from Central High School.  Nancy married Victor “Vic” Bianchini on July 12, 1948 in Alexandria, South Dakota.  They made their home in South Sioux City.  Nancy’s father started Harmony Lanes in South Sioux and their family ran the business for 50 years.

Nancy enjoyed spending time in the sun and her pool.  She liked bowling and vacationing to Canada.  She was an avid Husker fan and longtime season ticket holder.  She faithfully supported South Sioux City athletics and the American Legion baseball program.  She enjoyed traveling to many state games and grandchildren’s sporting events with Vic.

Nancy was a member of PEO, Eastern Star, and Lynn Broyhill Assembly #12.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church of South Sioux City or Hospice of Siouxland.  The family would also like to thank the staff at MercyOne, Pioneer Valley Care Center, and Hospice of Siouxland for their wonderful care.

She is survived by her children, Randy (Corliss) Bianchini of Dakota Dunes, Margaret Ann (Rick) Voss of South Sioux City, and Melinda Dvorak of Lincoln; grandchildren, Amy, Tracy, Robert, Melissa, Greg, Stacy, Cece, Molly, Tony, Tim, Brad, and Matt; several great and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vic; son, Rick; brother, “Sonny” Thacker; and son-in-law, Randy Dvorak.
