Nancy C. Wiley, 77 of Lake Side, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at a Hospice House in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Funeral Services will be at 4:00 p.m. today, Sunday, January 10th at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Pastor Duane Queen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Nancy was born on December 31, 1943 in Lake City, Iowa to William “Bill” and Elmyra (DenHartog) Van Gorkom. She finished 11th grade at Sheldon, Iowa High School. On May 23, 1980, Nancy was united in marriage to Jon Wiley at Clovis, New Mexico. They lived in various places before settling in Sioux City, Iowa in 1983. Nancy enjoyed being a stay-at-home wife and taking care of her pets, from stray cats to wildlife including turkeys, raccoons, and deer.
Nancy is survived by her children Mark Kobes and Troy Kobes, both of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Kandi (Chris) Boeckman of Storm Lake, Iowa; grandchildren Tabitha Ballou of Schaller, Iowa, Danika Pittenger of Lakewood, Colorado, Shelby Pittenger of Denver, Colorado, Beau Boeckman,, Brody Boeckman, Bobby Boeckman, all of Storm Lake, Iowa, Brittnee Kobes, and Katelyn Kobes, both of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and four great-grandchildren.
