Neil V. Krumwiede, 78, of Homer, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City. Burial will be at a later date at Omaha Valley Cemetery.
Neil was born the son of Louis “Dewey” and Viola (Woerner) Krumwiede on September 10, 1942 in Sioux City, Iowa. He spent the entirety of his life on the family farm doing what he loved. He loved farming and caring for his livestock. Neil also drove school bus for 35 years.
Neil enjoyed pulling his camper around the country to nearly every state and fishing.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Homer. He served on the Homer School Board, the Dakota County Fair Board, was a 4H leader, and a Northrup King Seed dealer.
Neil is survived by his children, Kyle (Cindy) Krumwiede of Homer, Kurt (Mandy) Krumwiede of Rogers, Arkansas, and Kelli (John) McGary of Omaha; grandchildren, Heather (Shawn) Schochenmaier, Brittany Stanton, Kyleigh (Bobby) Kargle, Kasey (Liz) Krumwiede, Jack Krumwiede, Izzy Krumwiede, Faith Krumwiede, and Corrie Krumwiede; great-grandchildren, Carter, Brynn, Corbin, and Briar; and his faithful companion, Brandy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Keene; and sister, Lela.
