Noah Carter Monroe, 15, of Ashton, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from injuries sustained in an accident. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m., on Friday evening at the funeral home.
Noah was born on August 9, 2006 in Sioux City, to Donald E. Meyers, III and Ashley Monroe. He lived in South Sioux City until 2013, then moved to Ashton, Iowa where he lived until his passing. He attended Sheldon High School and was going into his Junior year.
He worked at both the Dairy Dandy and McDonald’s in recent years.
Noah loved RC cars and playing Xbox, and was a lover of outdoor activities including fishing, boating, and tubing. He was always building and inventing things, and was extremely hands-on. He loved his moped and working on his truck. He also loved his “Bobo.”
Left to cherish his memory include his parents: Ashley (Michael) Monroe, and Donald (Amber) Meyers; siblings: Anna Frahm; Mitchell, Noah, and Evan Bootsma; Michael Jr., Leland, Blake, and Curtis Monroe; Vanessa, Daniel, Brielle, Jacoby, Violet, and Liliana Meyers; grandparents: Sharon Leach; Cindy (Robert) Guy; Donald Jr. (Janet) Meyers; Gary (Terry) Erfman; and Robert Monroe (Deb Horn); aunts and uncles: Debbie Sanford; Amy (Matt) Harkins; Bob (Molly) Vos; and Ross Leach; and numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Randy Leach.
Memorial donations may be directed to Noah’s family for designation.
