Patricia Rose Comstock, 70, of South Sioux City, NE passed away at her residence on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, while lovingly surrounded by her family.Memorial services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE with Father Michael Erpelding officiating. Visitation with the family present will begin at 5:00 P.M. prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.Patricia was born in Waterbury, NE on March 8, 1944, the daughter of Jack and Eleanor (Hogan) Rooney. She attended school in Waterbury until the school closed in 1961. She graduated from Emerson Sacred Heart High School in 1962. Patricia married Norman Comstock in Waterbury, NE on August 24, 1963. The couple moved to South Sioux City, NE. Together they had three children, Lisa, Kevin and Keith. She worked at Zenith before becoming a home day care provider.Patricia was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church for fifty years. She loved to walk, read, her moss roses, and was famous for her chocolate chip cookies. Most of all she loved her family.Survivors include her husband, Norman Comstock; daughter, Lisa (Brad) Mickey and their daughter, Jessica (Will) McDowell and her great-grandchildren, Liam and Winnie; son, Kevin (Christine) Comstock, and their daughter, Sydney; son, Keith Comstock and his children, Alexander, Christian and Michael; five sisters; one brother; and many nieces and nephews.Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Eleanor Rooney; and three brothers.The family would like to thank Hospice of Siouxland for their tender care.
