Patricia "Pat" Marie Gatzemeyer

Patricia Marie Gatzemeyer (Pat), 80, of Deltona, FL, formerly of South Sioux City, NE. passed away February 26, 2022, in Deltona, Florida.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 5 at 11:00 a.m. at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City Nebraska. Patricia was born on January 19, 1942, in Emerson, NE to Francis and Beverly (Chamberlain) Coan.  She was united in marriage to Raymond Leroy Gatzemeyer SR. on October 20, 1958, in Emerson Nebraska and to this union they were blessed with 10 wonderful children Theresa LeeAnn, twins Deanna Rae and Steven Lee, Lisa Marie, Raymond Leroy Jr., Ricky Dean, Ann Marie, Gerry Francis, Tamara Jean, and Billy Joe. She was a homemaker/housewife for many years until her children and grandchildren went to school. Then she went to work for the South Sioux City Community Schools and then she enjoyed retirement of last 22 years. Pat enjoyed cooking, deserts, crafting, playing cards, and watching the Huskers. She especially loved spending time with her family and traveling back and forth between Nebraska and Florida.

Those left to honor her memory includes her children: Deanna Woehler and husband Bill of SSC, Steve Gatzemeyer Sr. and wife Stephanie of SSC., Lisa Gatzemeyer of Hubbard NE., Rick Gatzemeyer and wife Johnette of SSC., Ann Gilmore of Fl., Gerry Gatzemeyer and wife Michelle of Sioux City Iowa, Tammi Seger of Fl. and Billy Joe Gatzemeyer of Fl. and his girlfriend Jessica Denney of Correctionville IA.

Grandchildren James and Jaime Meza Gatzemeyer of Storm Lake Iowa, Mandy Lanphear of Storm Lake Iowa, Shawn and Terra Gatzemeyer of Menasha Wis., Joni and Josh Hansen of Rapid City SD, Steven Jr. Gatzemeyer of Sioux City, Bradley Gatzemeyer of SSC, Keith and Tasha Odom of Emerson, Jessica and Mat Walsh of Ponca Ne, Terry Hoskey of Lincoln NE, Tony and Lara Gatzemeyer of Sioux City, Andrew and Lisa Gatzemeyer of Lawton Iowa, Adam and Haylee Gatzemeyer of Yankton SD, Aaron Gatzemeyer of SSC, and Ryan and Kellie Gatzemeyer of Sioux City and 22 great-grandchildren, brother-in Law Don and Karen Gatzemeyer of SSC and sister-in-law Phyllis Todd of Sergeant Bluff, IA.

She is preceded in death by her parents Francis and Beverly Coan, her loving husband Raymond Sr, son Raymond Gatzemeyer Jr. and daughter Theresa Gatzemeyer, grandson’s Michael and Duane, great-grandson Raymond James Gatzemeyer, mother and father-in-law: Alvia and Hazel Gatzemeyer, sisters JoAnn and Martin Beacom, Mary (Mert) and Tim Beacom, Carol Scott. sister-in-law’s: Carol and Gerald Ruskowsky, Judith and Lelan Hingst, Dorothy (Dort) and Roland (Shorty) Hingst; son-in-law’s: Charles Gilmore, Richard Seger Sr., and brother-in-law Jim Todd and great companion Albert Bolen.
