Patricia "Pat" Darlene Jorgensen

Patricia Darlene “Pat” Jorgensen, 86, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022 at a local care center.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.  Visitation with the family will be one hour prior at the funeral home.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Pat was born January 2, 1936 in Baker, Montana, the 10^th child of 13 children born to Roy and Linda (Greenough) Prichard.  She attended schools near Ekalaka, MT and in 1947 the family moved to Sioux City where she attended school.

Pat married Richard D. Jorgensen on February 4, 1956 in Elk Point, SD.  To this union, four boys were born.  Richard and Pat owned and operated Tower Erection Company, where she did the bookkeeping, retiring in 1992.  Richard preceded Pat in death on January 6, 1997 in Sioux City.  Pat enjoyed playing cards, spending time with her grandchildren, and she loved her cats and other stray animals in need of a home. 

Survivors include her sons:  Dale (Kimberley) Jorgensen of Sioux City, Pete (Diane) Jorgensen of Sioux City, Ted Jorgensen of Addison, TX, and Mike (Lisa) Jorgensen of Watertown, SD; grandchildren:  Mindy, Sarah, TJ, Quinn, Nikki, Jake, Drake, Josh, Brooke, Shannon, Shelby, and Kara; great grandsons:  Liam, Brantley, James, and Memphis; sisters:  Terry Hansen and Shirlee (Paul) Bohlke; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend Jerry Perera and his son Steve Perera. 

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, daughter-in-law Betty Jorgensen, brothers:  Guy, Roy, Kenneth, William, Donny, and Ted, and sisters:  Jean Most, Betty Blutte, June Prichard, and Sherry Betsworth.
