Patty Ann Hool

Patty Ann Hool, 77 of Sioux City passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, September 30, 2024 at First Christian Church, 2101 Jackson Street. 

Patty was born the daughter of Kenneth and Dorothy (High) Eastman on November 19,1946 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Patty married Max Hool, Sr. on August 19, 1965. After their marriage they made their home in Grundy Center for 20 years before moving to Waterloo for another 15 years. They had called Sioux City home for the last 20 years.

Patty worked in nursing homes as a CNA and cooked in the kitchen for many years. 

She was an awesome cook. She loved to bake cookies and pies around the holidays. She also liked to crochet and embroider and play games on her phone when her health declined. 

Patty is survived by her husband, Max Hool of Sioux City; daughter, Christine Pencil of Sioux City; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jeff) Todd, Leanna Pencil, Heather Pencil, Patricia (Cordele) Wilson, Phillip (Monica) Pencil, and Amara Pencil; great-grandchildren, Paige, Dillon, Karley, Addison, Shiann, Savannah, Austin, Aaron, Aiden, Peyton, Jordyn, William, and Maryann; three great-great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Lisa Hool. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Max, Jr.; son-in-law, Duane; and grandson, Michael.
