Paul David Perry

Paul David Perry, 77 of Sioux City, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at his residence, comforted by family.  Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 24, 2021 at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City, Nebraska with Deacon Patricia Roberts officiating.  Burial, with Military Rites by the United States Air Force, will follow at the Laurel City Cemetery in Laurel, Nebraska.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Monday morning.  The American Legion Post 307 members will proudly be casket bearers for Paul’s service.  Online condolences may be offered at www.meyerbroschapels.com

Paul was born on December 21, 1943 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to John E. and Susan C. (Deneshek) Perry.  Following his education, Paul served his country in the United States Air Force, and once he had received his honorable discharge, he returned to Sioux City.  Paul married Charlotte Hansen on August 29, 1962 in Sioux City.  He joined the crew at Sioux Tools in 1963 as a machinist, and worked his entire career for the same company, retiring in 2002 as foreman.  Paul was a proud member of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church and the American Legion Post 307 and served as a past-treasurer.  He enjoyed golfing.

Paul is survived by his wife Charlotte of Sioux City; sons David Perry of Yankton, Michael Perry of rural Smithland, Iowa, and Robert (Claudia) Perry of Columbus, Georgia; daughter Eileen Henze of Elk Point, South Dakota; and two grandchildren Connor and Emily Henze.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
