Paul Joseph Red Owl, 39 of Lawton IA, left this life on February 16th, 2022 at a local hospital after dealing with illness and with family holding his hands.
Visitation with family present will be at 12:30 and the funeral will be at 1:30 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel on Tuesday, February 22nd. Burial will follow the service at Bluff View Cemetery in Vermillion, SD.
Paul was born June 6th, 1982 in Yankton, SD to Phillip and Carla Red Owl (Teahan). He lived all over the country growing up. His favorite places were out west in the mountains where he could go hiking and hunting.
You could always find Paul having a conversation with a stranger that became a friend. He was a social butterfly that made everyone feel special. His goal in life was for everyone to enjoy life. He helped by always making people laugh and he could always lighten the mood. His heart was pure and he loved hard. He was uncle Paul to a lot of people, but his main joy was being a Dad and loving on his family.
Paul is survived by his daughter Madison of Roosevelt, UT, his life partner Maggie Birdsell and three step daughters Summer, Hailey and Anna of Lawton, IA; Mother Carla Teahan (Bob) of Akron, IA; siblings Stephen Red Owl (Alisha) of Thornton, CO, Liz Phillips (Russ) of Westminster, CO, Felisha Boisvert of VT; 7 nieces and nephews Ethan, Molly, Autumn, Amelia, Wyatt, Lilly, and Chloe.
Paul was preceded in death by his father Phillip Red Owl; grandparents Carl Teahan, Lila Ferguson (Bud) and Elizabeth Red Owl.
