Paula Rae Berg, 60, of Elk Point, SD, formerly of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 in Elk Point.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE with Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. Burial will be in the Dakota City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with the family present after 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.Paula was born on July 19, 1954 in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Paul E. and Doris M. (Ames) Flieder. She attended Sioux City schools. She was united in marriage with Terry Leland Berg on October 24, 1969 in Elk Point, SD. Mr. Berg preceded her in death on June 1, 2011 near Elk Point.Paula worked for many years as a driver for Wheelchair Transportation Company. She also worked as a caregiver for hospice patients and briefly worked with her sister at Servicemaster of Siouxland.She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Leitru and her husband Neil of Elk Point; and her son, Terry Berg Jr. and his wife Stacie of South Sioux City. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren; a sister, Barbara J. Thomas of South Sioux City; a brother, Robert Flieder and his wife, Becky of Texarkana, TX; along with a special nephew Ricky Clay and his wife, Jessica; and a special niece, Kathy Ferrini and her special friend Jay Frye.
