Paula Leeanne Obermeyer, 49, of Sioux City passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at her residence. At this time, Paula’s daughter is planning a gathering at a local park in early May. For more information, stay tuned to Kayla Tuttle’s Facebook page.
Paula Leeanne Tuttle was born on May 4, 1969 in Lincoln, Nebraska. At a young age, she was adopted by her amazing foster parents, LB and Elisabeth (Lupe) Tuttle in South Sioux City, Nebraska. She graduated from South Sioux City High School and went on to attend Western Iowa Tech Community College, where she studied to become an RN. She worked as a CNA in local health care facilities for a number of years, where she got to live out her passion for helping others.
Paula married Clayton E. Obermeyer on October 11, 1996, a year after welcoming their daughter Kayla Ann Tuttle into the world on February 23, 1995. Paula and Clayton enjoyed camping, fishing and travelling until Clayton lost his courageous battle with cancer in May of 2002.
Paula is survived by her amazing fiancé, Jim Schimidt; daughters: Teresa, Beth, Kayla and Lori; sons: Cody, Ron, Junior and Dallas; several grandchildren including Arabella, Justin, Corissa, April, Katrina, Shirly, Jennifer, Rachel, Kody, Kyra, Becca, and Jacqueline.
Paula goes home to her father LB, her late husband Clayton, brother Ronnie Tuttle, and grandson Doug.
