Pauline Miille

Pauline Miille, 83, of Sioux City, IA went to Heaven May 1, 2013 from a blood disorder at a Sioux City hospital.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Salem Lutheran Church in Ponca, NE with Rev. Dr. Bud Christensen officiating. Burial will be in the Ponca City Cemetery in Ponca. Visitation will begin at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca, NE.Pauline was born on the family farm in rural Ponca, NE on September 15, 1929, the daughter of Henry and Maude (Rockwell) Miille. She was baptized and a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Ponca, NE, where she also taught Sunday School. When she was little, Pauline and her sisters enjoyed sitting in their front yard to watch the train go by. She graduated from Ponca Public School in 1947.Pauline worked for Merle Kingsbury, Attorney for 4 years. She also worked for Prudential in the cities of Sioux City, IA, Mason City, IA, Cedar Rapids, IA and St. Paul, MN, where she retired with a total of 38 years with Prudential. After retiring she moved to Sioux City, IA, in 1993 to be closer to her family.She enjoyed getting her hair fixed on Thursday mornings and spending time with her family and friends. She loved to watch the Minnesota Twins baseball team. Pauline especially enjoyed her yearly summer cousin reunion she planned for her nieces and nephews. Because she had no children of her own, her nieces and nephews became her children.She is survived by many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; and four sisters, Lucille Putman, Edith Stark, Ardith Iddings and Gale Nelson.
