My wife, my best friend, my confidant and partner in crime; Penny Fox passed away peacefully on March 14, 2022 at home amidst her family. After a 5 ½ year battle with cancer it finally got the best of her. She fought the disease as courageously as a warrior could do leaving behind her husband, her father, a brother, 4 children, 7 grandchildren and too many to mention nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers in law.
Born in Sioux City in 1965, the daughter of Don and Judy Fylstra. She had one brother Jeff Fylstra. Penny graduated from North High School in 1983.
Penny was preceded in death by her mother, Judith Ann Fylstra and sister in law Lisa Fylstra.
Penny was exceptionally good at sales and, her career encompassed working for Grandview Occupational Health and Cableone/Sparklight. Penny had a sparkling personality and the biggest blue eyes you have ever seen. It would have been difficult for any potential customer to turn her down once she got her foot in the door. I can attest to that as she called on me as a potential customer at Terra International.
Penny was also incredibly good as a wife, as she has been the love of my life for 24 years being married on September 26, 1998. She was the mother of Paige Peck (Kyle Peck), Cody Fannon and inherited two additional children along the way: Patrick Fox (Candy Smith) and Christopher Fox (Christina Fox).
Words cannot express the sorrow we all have but are relieved that she is no longer having to continue her struggle against an almost unbeatable beast that is cancer.
Penny will always be with us in our hearts and memories, and she was truly a treasure to have amongst us.
Penny Fox, I will always love you. You were the greatest gift to my life. May you rest in eternal peace and love until we meet again.
Your Husband, Robert Michael Fox & Family
