Penny Ann Van Den Hul

March 12, 2022 — April 29, 2022

Penny Ann Van Den Hul, 7 weeks, went to Heaven on April 29, 2022 at Children’s Hospital in Omaha, NE, after fighting a valiant battle against congenital heart disease.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 7th at 10:00 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church.  Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 with a prayer at 6:30 p.m. also at the church.  Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is handling the arrangements.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Penny was welcomed into this world on March 12, 2022 in Omaha, NE.  During her brief time, she enjoyed being held, kissed and cuddled by her parents, brothers and family.  She was comforted by listening to her parents sing “Jesus Loves Me,” reading books to her, and holding their fingers.  She especially loved having her hair brushed and head rubbed.  Penny was loved by all who met her, and touched many lives in her short time here on earth, even befriending the entire staff at the hospital.

Penny will be forever remembered and loved by her parents, Josh and Katie Van Den Hul, Dakota Dunes, SD; brothers: Theo and George; grandparents: Gail and Grant Haight, Sioux City, IA, Lorynda and Jeff Van Den Hul, North Sioux City, SD, Tony Senger, Sioux City, IA, and Jody and John Backer, Sioux City, IA; great-grandparents: Janet Van Den Hul, Pete and Donyce Eekhoff, Ed and Delila Senger; aunts and uncles: Michael (Allie) Haight, Kassi (Nick) Conrad, Cody Senger, Ashley Van Den Hul, Gracyn Van Den Hul, Jorja Van Den Hul, and Grant Van Den Hul; and many loving cousins.

She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents: Rusty and Joyce Schieber, George Van Den Hul, Murlan and Harriett Haight, and Theo and Mildred Stevenson.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Children’s Medical in Omaha, Nebraska for their incredible care of Penny and the entire family; they also appreciate all of the prayers, support, and calls during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cardiac Care Unit at Children’s Hospital in Omaha.
