Ralph Ray Rogers, 87 went home peacefully to Jesus on July 23, 2022 with family by his side. He was a beloved husband, dad, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend to all. He loved the Lord and demonstrated Christ’s love to all he met.

Ralph was born to Charles and Esther (French) Rogers on June 17,1935 at home in Decatur, Ne.  He graduated from Decatur High School in 1953.  Ralph met the love of his life, Oma Deane Ring in Decatur, while she was employed at a local café.  Ralph’s life revolved around Oma and they were married at the First Baptist Church in Tekamah, NE on April 29th, 1955; Ralph often proclaimed the happiest day of his life was when Oma became his wife.

Shortly after their marriage, the couple moved to South Sioux City, NE and remained long- time residents until 2000 when they moved to Dakota Dunes, SD. Ralph was a local businessman in South Sioux City, NE for over 50 years. He was involved with Kiwanis club and belonged to the South Sioux City Chamber of Commerce.

Ralph was employed by Graham Brake in his younger years, until in 1972 when he opened and operated his own alignment shop, Circle R Frame Aligners, until retirement in 2013.

Ralph was a gifted entrepreneur and inventor with over 44 patents. He changed the trailer industry when he invented and patented the side dump trailer.  Ralph was hard working, dedicated, determined and could often be found waiting on Oma in his car, with a pad and pencil doodling his next invention, or reading his Bible.

Ralph was a devout family man who loved life. Ralph always enjoyed large gatherings with friends and family, especially if it included good food, belly laughs, and the extra bonus of music.

Ralph also loved the Lord and served Him all his adult life. He served as a Pastor and Elder for many years at the Community of Christ Church in Walthill, Ne. In more recent years, he became a member of the Sioux City Community of Christ church.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Oma (Ring) Rogers, his four children- Charles (Chuck) Rogers of Dakota Dunes, SD, Kevin (Lisa) Rogers, Dakota City, NE, Kelly Rogers Dakota Dunes, SD, and Michelle (Rogers) Graham, (Steve) Overland Park, KS.  Ralph deeply loved his 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Ralph also has a surviving sister, Wanda Dyson of Lyons, NE. He will be greatly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Esther Rogers and his sister Genevieve Elliott (Rex).

A visitation will be held from 5pm -7pm on Wednesday, July 27th at Mohr & Becker Hunt Funeral home in South Sioux City NE.
