Rebecca (Becky) Lynn Murdock

Rebecca Lynn (Becky) Murdock passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009 at a Sioux City hospital of natural causes. Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, Nebraska with Pastor Lloyd Grant of Central Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at the Funeral Home at 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 with the family present at 6:00 P.M. and a prayer service at 7;00 P.M.Becky was born December 9, 1974 to Robert and Hazel (Wood) Murdock. She lived in Sioux City all her life. She loved her children completely. She enjoyed being around family and friends, especially on holidays. Becky never knew a stranger and found good in everyone. Becky was loved and will be missed by everyone.Survivors include two daughters, Sara and Jessie of Sioux City; one son, Koby of Mapleton, Iowa; grandmother, June Murdock; three sisters, Rhoda (Carlos) delaCruz, Darla (Homero) Fuentes and Shelly (Scott) Grover, all of Sioux City; one brother, Michael Murdock of Richmond, West Virginia; two aunts, Kathy (Brian) Hauck of Sioux City, Fran (Gary) Soucie of Brownsburg, Indiana; uncles, Dan (Linda) Wood of Sioux City and Chuck Rogers of South Sioux City, Nebraska, and numerous cousins.Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Hazel Murdock; grandfather, Roy Murdock; grandparents, Neal and Donna Wood; great-grandparents, Mary and Marvin Worden; uncles, Donald Murdock and Willie Wood; aunts, Shirley Courtney, Louise Barbee, Marvel Murdock and Ruby Bauer.The family would like to give special thanks to Coronary Care, Hospice and the sixth floor staff at Mercy Medical Center.
