Richard E. Gregg, 83 of Sioux City passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, February 17, 2025 from 11-1 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with a military graveside service to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Richard was born the son of Eugene and Genevive (Haddad) Gregg on January 13, 1942 in Sioux City, Iowa. He attended East High School before being drafted into the United States Army. He served in Vietnam where he received a Purple Heart Medal.
Richard worked for The Paper Company, later known as Heartland Paper, as warehouse manager for many years. He later delivered for Record Printing.
Richard enjoyed being outdoors. He loved to fish. He did a lot of fishing with his friends at area lakes, in Canada, and made annual fishing trips to South Dakota with his brother. He also enjoyed driving around looking at nature and hunting.
Richard is survived by his daughters, Toni Gregg and Tina Gregg; siblings, Jenneen (Gary) Lohse of Pierson, Michael (Julie) Gregg of Sioux City, and Jeffrey (Cindie) Gregg of Sioux City; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rodney.
