Robert Lee Bertrand

Robert Lee Bertrand, 76, of Sioux City passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 of natural causes, surrounded by family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Visitation will be Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00-8:00 P.M.  A rosary will be said at 4:30 P.M. by the Catholic Daughters of American, Carmel Guild, Queen of Peace, and Bargain Center and a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Robert was born on June 14, 1945 in Vermillion, SD.  The oldest son of Francis and Eleanor (Thompson) Bertrand.  He graduated from Central High School in 1963.  He married Luann Uhl on May 15, 1965.

Bob worked for MidAmerican Energy Company (IPS) for 38 years and at the same time farmed all his life.

Bob is survived by his wife of 56 years, Luann Bertrand; a daughter:  Pamela (Jeff) Feagan of Durango, CO; two sons:  Richard (Tammy) and Russell (Tina) both of Sioux City and five grandchildren:  Rachel, Emma, Addison, William, and Henry; and brothers:  David (Kathy) and Michael (Vicki) of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Eleanor Bertrand and brothers Terry, and Timmy Joe; and his in-laws:  Lester and Gertrude Uhl.
