Robert "Bob" L. Baker, Sr., 74, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at a Sioux City hospital.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M., with the family present at 6:00 P.M. and a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the funeral home.Bob was born on August 30, 1942 in Sioux City, IA, the son of Lee "Bud" and Florence (Orr) Baker. He attended school in Phoenix, AZ and graduated with Wayne Newton from North Phoenix High School in 1960. He moved back to Sioux City to care for his grandfather. Bob married Carol Ann Quint on October 27, 1961 at First Presbyterian Church in South Sioux City. He worked at Wilson Trailers before attending National Business Training School in Sioux City, IA. He then worked in several finance companies, was an independent distributor for Little Debbie Snacks, and owned and operated several small businesses.He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in South Sioux City, the Jaycees for many years and the Masonic Lodge in Hawarden, IA. Bob enjoyed going to and watching NASCAR races. He also enjoyed motorcycles, cars, snowmobiles, game shows and old Westerns.Survivors include his wife, Carol Ann Baker of South Sioux City, NE; children, Robert Baker, Jr. and his fiancé, Marie McCullick, Troy Baker and his girlfriend, Tiffany Parsons and Greg (Susan) Baker all of South Sioux City, NE, Lisa (Tony) Dahm of Ankeny, IA, and Jason (Sarah) Baker of Papillion, NE; grandchildren, Claire and Max Dahm, Bradley Graves, Anthony Shannon, Cheyenne and Wesley Baker; step grandchildren, Ashley (Ed) Finck, Zach Leach, Aleshia Nelson, Shelby Schmitt, Naomi (Nykola) Nyznyk and Dan Schmitt; great-grandson, Preston Shannon; step-great grandson, Judah Nyznyk; sisters-in-law, Carol and Dawn Baker; brother-in-law, George Quint and his fiancé, Dianna Maka; sister-in-law, Elva Nottleman; several nieces and nephews; and granddogs, Gracie, Harry and Jane.He was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Florence Baker; two brothers, Jerry and Bill Baker; sister-in-law, Karon Quint; and brother-in-law, Jack.
