Bob was born on the family farm in Emerson, Nebraska, to Herman and Elizabeth (Fey) Jager on March 27th, 1936. Bob lived a life characterized by hard work, family devotion, and community service. Bob married Josephine Martens on June 3, 1956 in Sioux City, spending more than 54 years together before her passing in 2011.
