Robert "Rob" L. Knudsen

Robert “Rob” L. Knudsen, 55 of South Sioux City passed away Friday, September 6, 2024. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Walthill, Nebraska.

Rob was born the son of Robert A. and Carolyn (Easton) Knudsen on April 23, 1969 in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from Emerson-Hubbard High School in 1987. He moved around over the years but home has always been South Sioux City. 

Rob’s true passion in life was driving semi. He owned and operated Knudsen Transport Services for about 20 years. He was currently driving side dump trucks for Udell Trucking.

Rob had a lifelong interest in horses. He showed them in his youth, winning several shows, and enjoyed raising and riding them. He also enjoyed riding his Honda motorcycles and playing pool. 

Rob is survived by his parents, Robert and Carolyn Knudsen of Hubbard, NE; children, Kayla (Billy) Redmond of AL, Ryan (Kayla) Knudsen of Avoca, IA, Isaiah Knudsen of South Sioux City, NE, Hannah Knudsen of Le Mars, IA, and Jacob Knudsen of Le Mars, IA; grandchildren, Angela, Cindy, Roxie, Willow, Grey, and Evelyn; sister, Rebeca Irby of Hubbard, NE; and niece, Katelyn Irby.
