Robert E. "Bob" Schram

Robert E. “Bob” Schram, 78, of Newcastle, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2020. Memorial services will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Newcastle, Nebraska.  Visitation will be Monday, January 13, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the church.  Burial will be at a later date.  

Robert was born the son of Carroll and Wanda (Harding) Schram on September 5, 1941 in Newcastle, Nebraska.  He graduated from Newcastle High School in 1960.  He married Lorna Anderson in 1960.  To this union two sons were born, Steve and Wade.  Lorna passed away in 2005. 

Bob was a farmer all his life and enjoyed working many years with his father.

Bob enjoyed daily coffee with his friends, deer hunting, and bird watching.  He also had many great times traveling the United States and visiting several National Parks.

In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to Congregational Church in Newcastle.

Bob is survived by Joan Kneifl of Newcastle; sons, Steve Schram of South Sioux City and Wade Schram of Cozad, Nebraska; siblings, Shirley Armstrong of Omaha, John (Laura) Schram of Lincoln, Rick (Julie) Schram of Newcastle, and Joan (Brad) Burke of Apple Valley, Minnesota; step-mother, Jewell Humes of Ponca; grandchildren, Alycia Schram, Mariah (Kato) Craig, and Makayla (Sebastian) Griffiths; and great-grandchildren, Farrah, Bentley, Nakita, and Huxley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Bruce Armstrong.
