Robert K. Schroeder, 60, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Regency Square Care Center in South Sioux City, NE.Memorial services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in South Sioux City, NE with Father Michael Keating officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will begin at 9:30 A.M. Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE.Robert was born on March 23, 1958 in Hastings, NE, the son of Roger and Margaret "Peggie" (Smith) Schroeder. He attended St. Michael's Grade School and South Sioux City High School. He worked at Metz Baking Company for 20 years, and worked as a heavy equipment operator while building the Siouxland Ethanol Plant.Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, cooking, hunting, and watching Husker football.Survivors include his children, Mindy (Jason) Sudo, Stephanie (Ryan) Simmons, Rodney (Emilee) Schroeder, and Riley Schroeder; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his mother, Peggie Schroeder; brothers, Russell, Ronald (Tammy), Richard (Miranda) and Randall (Heather) Schroeder; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Schroeder; 2 aunts, Susan Church and Judie Wisnieski; and 2 uncles, William Schroeder and Ronald Smith.The family would like to thank Hospice of Siouxland for their excellent care.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for designations to be made at a later time.
