Robin Kay Ford

Robin Ford, 59, of Sioux City, died Tuesday, February 18, surrounded by her family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Whitfield United Methodist Church with a visitation 1 hour prior to service time. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Robin was born on June 28, 1960, daughter of Richard and Peggy Skelton.

She attended Emerson Elementary, West Junior, and graduated from West High School, class of 1979.

She worked multiple jobs in Sioux City, with her two favorite jobs being a custodian for the Sioux City Community School District for 10 years and Plaza Bowl for 15 years, running the Youth Bowling Program and the Disabled Rollers League.

Robin married David Lee Mayer. To that union, she gained a bonus son, Jason, and had 2 more children, Brad and Jamie. After they divorced, she married Orville Ford Sr. To that union, she gained a bonus son, Sam, and had 2 more sons, Jesse and Cody.

Survivors include her husband, Orville Ford Sr of Sioux City. Children, Jason (Jayme) Schomburg of Durango, IA, Sam (Karlene) Ford of Wakonda, SD, Brad (Crystal) Mayer of Sioux Falls, SD, and Jamie (Ricky) Lundquist, Jesse (Tabitha) Ford, and Cody Ford, all of Sioux City, IA. 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Siblings, Richard (Sandy) Skelton of Beaumont, TX, Paul (Mary) Skelton, Sioux City, IA, Dennis (Sandy) Skelton of Sioux Falls, SD, Ethel (Don) Lea of San Antonio TX, Wayne (Pat) Skelton of Bandera TX, Cindy Hofmeister (Harold) of Sioux City, IA, Kathy Skelton of Onawa, IA.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Richard and Peggy Skelton, and one brother, Robert Skelton. Also her fur animals, Kiley, Jasmine, and Gizmo.
