Ronald "Ron" J. Marsh

Ronald "Ron" J. Marsh, 73, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Regency Square Care Center in South Sioux City, NE while surrounded by his family.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in South Sioux City, NE. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in South Sioux City. Visitation with the family present will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City.Ronald was born on March 26, 1942 in Omaha, NE, the son of Joseph and Genevieve (Miller) Marsh. He grew up in South Sioux City and graduated from South Sioux City High School. Ronald married Myrtle Crow on January 4, 1964 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in South Sioux City. The couple lived for a short time in Sioux City before building a home in South Sioux City where they continued to live all their married life. He worked for I-GO United Van Lines for over thirty years.Ronald was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and was very active in the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed music, singing, dancing, spending time with his family and watching Nebraska football games. He loved attending his grandchildren's ball games and events, very rarely missing any event.Survivors include his children, Valarie Marsh, Daniel (Patti) Marsh and son-in-law, Kyle Bahney all of South Sioux City; four grandchildren, Courtney (Allisa) Bahney, Alex (Jenna) Bahney, Nolan Marsh and Connor Marsh; a sister, Joanne (Gary) Huisman of AZ; and two nephews.Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Genevieve Marsh; his wife, Mytle "Mert" Marsh on May 29, 2013; and a daughter, Annette Bahney.
