Russell "Russ" Scott Berg

Russell Scott “Russ” Berg, 62, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022.

Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave. Sioux City, Iowa 51106.  Visitation with the family will be Friday, August 12, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Dakota City Cemetery.

Russ was born December 31, 1959, in Sioux City, the son of James and Thelma Rich.  He grew up in South Sioux City and worked in industrial maintenance most of his life.  If not at work, you could often find Russ fishing and he loved sharing those memories with his sons and grandchildren. 

Survivors include his three sons:  Derrick (Heidi) Berg of Chatsworth, IA, Justin “Jay” (Melissa) Berg of Sioux City, and Dustin (Nicole) Berg of Sioux City; grandchildren:  Shelby Berg, Sebastian Berg, Saphire Berg, Taylor Claypool, Sierra Berg, Alexis Berg, Alexis Gigaroa, Braxton Gigaroa, Kinslee Berg, and Tatum Berg; great grandchildren:  Damon Berg and Stefan Berg; former wife Beverly Wallace; brother Randy Berg of Kansas City, KS; and nieces and nephews. 

Russ was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings:  two brothers and three sisters.
