Ruth O. Brown

Ruth O. Brown, 92, of Sioux City, IA, passed away October 27, 2021 at a local nursing home.  Per her request, there will be no services.  Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Ruth was born on September 26, 1929 in Clearfield, PA to Harold Clemeth and Bessie (Olson) Burnsworth.  Ruth was employed at a variety of places throughout her life.  Having lived in Pennsylvania, Minnesota and the Siouxland area, she worked as a deli manager in a grocery store, managed McDonald’s, and as an office manager in an auto parts store.  She was always crocheting, and happily gave her blankets to friends and family.  She also enjoyed reading, gardening and playing bingo.   

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Marion Brown (Dan Pinkelman), Jackson, NE, son, Clemeth Brown, Sioux City; grandchildren: Ian (Kelly) Brown and their children: Aspen and Oakley, of Tucson, AZ, and Tiffany Green-Platter, of Lockport, NY.

She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Nancy K. Brown.
