Salvador Valdovinos, 18, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013 from injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident.Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, September 20, 2013 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in South Sioux City, NE with Father Jose Mendoza officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation with rosary and prayers will be from 7:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 19th at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE.Salvador was born in Puruandiro, Michoacan, Mexico on April 7, 1995, the son of Felix and Veronica (Magana) Valdovinos. His family moved to South Sioux City when he was five years old. He attended St. Michael's School in South Sioux City and graduated with honors from Heelan High School in Sioux City. He received a scholarship to Creighton University in Omaha where he currently attended honors classes, and was planning on obtaining a masters degree in Business Administration. He enjoyed playing soccer at St. Michael's and Heelan.Survivors include his parents, Felix and Veronica Valdonvinos, one brother and sister, Jonathan and Jocelyn Valdovinos; two grandmothers; and one grandfather.
