Sandra K. Watkins, 71, of Ponca, NE passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at a Sioux City hospital.Memorial services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, IA. Visitation with the family present will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Friday at the funeral home.Sandra was born on July 9, 1946 in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of George and Esther (Kerr) Nailor. She grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School in 1964. She attended 1 year of business school. Sandra married Kenneth Watkins on April 22, 2002 in Homer, NE. They lived in Homer, South Sioux City, and moved to rural Ponca in 2012. She worked at Old Home Bakery in South Sioux City for 25 years.She enjoyed spending time with family, reading, gardening, crocheting, sewing and attending her grandchildren's sporting events.Survivors include her husband, Ken Watkins of Ponca, NE; children, Mike (Michelle) Faber of Dakota City, NE, Julie (Mike) Maxwell of Dakota City, NE, Brett (Stacey) Matteen of Auburn, NE; Stacey (Ed) Martin of Utica, NE, Sarah (David) Goddard of Denver, CO and Stephanie Watkins of Lincoln, NE; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Esther Nailor; and siblings, Phyllis Brown, Nancy Hendrickson and Roger Nailor.
