Shane Pence

   Shane Pence, 46, of North Sioux City, SD passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 unexpectedly at a Sioux City hospital.

   Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2021 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The family requests attendees to wear their favorite racing shirt, San Francisco 49ers shirt or just dress casual for both the visitation and funeral.

   Shane was born June 28, 1975 the son of Gary and Beverly (Baker) Pence.  He grew up in North Sioux City, SD and graduated from Jefferson High School.  Shane was employed at Weston Foods.

   On June 13, 1997, Shane married his wife of twenty-four years Melinda “Mindy” Pence and they were blessed with three children Myles, Laken, and Dillon.

   Shane enjoyed spending time with his children, the San Francisco 49ers, driving his Mustang, and sprint car racing.

   He is survived by his wife Mindy; children: Myles, Laken, and Dillon; father Gary (Fran) Pence; brother Brent (Amanda) Pence all of North Sioux City; father and mother-in-law, Danny and Lana Johnson of Sioux City; nieces; nephews; and many friends at Interbake.

   He was preceded in death by his mother Beverly Pence; his Gramie; uncle Jeffery Baker; and cousin Jeff Smith.
