   Sharen Kay (Barrett) Stewart passed peacefully on July 16, 2020 at the age of 76 in Remsen.

   A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel (6200 Morningside Ave) in Sioux City with Pastor Jason Van Wyk officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.meyerbroschapels.com. 
   Sharen was born on October 16, 1943 in Sioux City to Elmer and LaVonne (Justice) Barrett. She graduated from Central High School and attended Tyler Beauty School. She married Bernard 'Bud" Stewart on Nov 13, 1959 in Elk Point, SD from this union there were three children: Louri, Kelly, and Brad. Sharen and Bud traveled the country seeing many new places for Bud’s work until his death in 2006. She made friends wherever she went. She was a member of Eastern Star and worked at MCI, the Hy-Vee Bakery, and IBP.

   Sharen is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Ed) Fuchs and son, Burton (Alexa) Stewart; grandchildren: Amber (Jon) Martin, Benjamin (Carolyn) Sorensen, Nicholas (Alicia) Rogers, Alyssa (Mike) Vander Wilt, Brandy Stewart, Rachel Rogers, Jake (Jenny) Rogers, Cigi Stewart, Brian Rasmussen, and Lourin Rasmussen; sister, Jeanne (Dave) Grimes as well as numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

   The way to heaven was paved for her by her husband; daughter, Louri; son, Brad; son-in-law, Merle Sorensen; parents; and granddaughter, Brittany Stewart.
