Sherril Peterson

Sherril K. Peterson, 73, of Ponca, NE passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at a Sioux City hospital.A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., with the family present at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca, NE.Sherril was born on January 19, 1943 in Ponca, NE, the daughter of Darrel and Anne (Brewer) Mathiesen. She grew up in Ponca and married Don Peterson.Survivors include her husband, Don Peterson of Ponca, NE; her mother, Anne Mathiesen of Ponca, NE; 3 sons, Kelly (Beverly) Peterson of Sioux City, IA, Kurtis Peterson of Ponca, NE and Derek (Dawn) Peterson of Papillion, NE; 2 granddaughters, Kathleen and Jordan; a brother, Kerry "Fred" (Vicki) Mathiesen of Dakota City, NE; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father, Darrel Mathiesen.
