Shirley A. Conley Varvais

Shirley Ann Conley Varvais, 80, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 while surrounded by her family at Matney's Colonial Manor in South Sioux City, NE.Memorial services will be at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M., with the family present at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Dakota City Cemetery.Shirley was born on August 28, 1937 in Bloomfield, NE, the daughter of Roy and Ethel (Wilson) Rager. She attended South Sioux City Schools. She married Patrick J. Conley and they were blessed with six boys and three girls. Patrick passed away in 1979. Shirley married Charles Varvais. Charles passed away in 2007. She worked as a prep cook at the Karousel Restaurant for many years.Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family.Survivors include her children, Patrick Jay (Mary) Conley, Kelly John (Deb) Conley, Randy Joseph "Joe" (Cherie) Conley, Tracy Ann (Bill) Henry, William Lee "Bill" (Kim) Conley, Jill Louise (Dennis) Delaney, Nadine Marie Carlson (Jim), and Charles David (Chuck) (Michelle) Conley; daughter-in-law, Julie Conley; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters, Jaylene Cox and Judy Cox.She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ethel Rager; a son, Anthony Todd "Tony" Conley; two grandchildren, Cassie Conley and Dennis Delaney; and siblings, Jerry Rager and Marlene McNaughton.
