Steve Bledsoe

Steve Bledsoe, 83, of South Sioux City, NE, passed away September 14, 2021 at his residence.  A celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the South Sioux City Senior Center.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Steve was born on August 20, 1938.  He started his lifelong career in music in 1957 with the Steve Bledsoe Show.  He played shows at the Paddock Steakhouse as well as throughout the country.  In 1985 he retired was united in marriage to Mary Barto-Smith.  Steve was a talented singer and songwriter, recording over 80 records as well as producing.  He was an amazing guitar player, singer, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  He will be greatly missed by all of his friends and adoring fans.  His music will continue to live on and can be found on YouTube.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife Mary Bledsoe, South Sioux City, NE; daughter; Sheri Smith-Wilson, Sioux City, IA; sons: Bret (Veronica) Smith, Homer, NE, Corey Smith, Luverne, MN; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many friends and fans.

He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Clark Bledsoe.
