Through tireless work and endless perseverance he built his farm to be more than one man could maintain. Steve and his brother-in-law, Owen spent many years together working on the farm. He loved anything that related to nature as he spent the majority of his life outdoors. When the winter brought on it's early darkness, Steve would pass the hours by reading a countless amount of books. Anyone that knew Steve would agree that he knew a little about everything and a lot about quite a few things. He was a straight shooter who called it like he saw it. He was not afraid to take chances and explore foreign areas. Steve cared deeply about his family and devoted many days, and miles, attending his children's activities.Steve had a large personality and generally left an impact anywhere he went. He had the ability to relate to anyone. Throughout his farming career Steve built and maintained relationships that transcended business. Anyone that had the opportunity to meet Steve could rest assured that he would treat them fair. He was generous with his time to causes he believed in.
