Tony was born in Ponca, NE on June 3, 1947, the son of Nick Sr. and Agnes (Strauss) Kneifl of Newcastle, NE. Tony joined the Navy in 1966 and in November 1969 he received an honorable discharge to go home and help on the family farm. After he came home, he had a feed business and service station. He was vice commander of the American Legion of Newcastle Post 62. Tony then began his career at IPB/Tyson where he worked for 30 years before retiring.
