Steven Paul Moore, 72, of South Sioux City passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022. A Celebration of Life will take place this Friday, February, 11, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Stoney Creek Hotel in the Lewis and Clark reception room. Friends and family are invited to attend.
Steve was born on October 25, 1949 in Sioux City. He attended school in Liberal, Kansas, graduated from Liberal High School in 1967, and went on to serve in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. Steve was married twice, and from the unions his three daughters were born.
Though he retired from Heartland Chevrolet in Liberty, Missouri, Steve proudly owned and operated auto body shops for many years including South Sioux Body Shop and Lawson Body Shop in Lawson, Missouri.
In his spare time, Steve loved to golf, fish, and bowl and play darts, pool, and poker. He was also a huge Nebraska Football fan, and could often be found rewatching old games (but only games Nebraska had won!). Steve also loved to cook for his family, including his classic Sunday night steak, salad, and baked potato dinners.
He is survived by his three daughters: Connie Moore of Lincoln, Nebraska; Stephanie Hartman (Garrett) of New Orleans, Louisiana; and Callie Moore of Seattle, Washington; and a sister, Cheryl Torres (Raymond) of Knickerbocker, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Delores Smith; sisters: Sharon Pippitt and Karon Quint; and brothers: Jim Moore and Lynn Johnson.
