Steven Ray Ulmer

Steven Ray Ulmer, 47 of Sioux City died at his home on Monday, October 12, 2009.Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Mohr Funeral Home, 1431 W. 29th Street, South Sioux City, Nebraska with Father Dan Wittrock officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Logan Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be held on Friday, October 16, 2009 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Mohr Funeral Home. Steven was born July 24, 1962 in Freeman, South Dakota to Kenneth and Shirley (Kocourek) Ulmer. He graduated from West High School in 1981. He was a long time employee of Inter-Bake Foods in North Sioux City, South Dakota. He married Kathy Smith on August 25, 1995 in Sioux City, Iowa.Survivors include his father, Kenneth Ulmer; his wife, Kathy; three sons, Jeffery Preston, Jr. and Hillary Livingston, Eric and Jessica Preston, and Shawn Ulmer; two daughters, Brenda Hovey and Wayne Andersen, and Stephanie Ulmer; two brothers, Mike and Penny Ulmer and Rolind and Mary Ulmer; three grandchildren, Jordan, Lilly and Kaylne; grandmothers, Tilley Torgenson and Ann Ulmer; mother and father-in-law, Joe and Karolyn Fredricksen; many nieces and nephews.Steven was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Ulmer.
