Susan Carol Lundgren

Susan Carol Lundgren, of North Sioux City, South Dakota, a beloved mother and grandmother passed away on Tuesday March 18th, 2025 at the age of 65.

Funeral services will be at 2pm on Wednesday March 26th 2025 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Chaplain Janell Norton officiating. Visitation with family present will begin at 1pm Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Sioux City at a later date.

Susan was born on August 8th, 1959 in Sioux City, Iowa. The daughter of Donald and Dorothy (Corkery) Lundgren.

She attended school in Jefferson, South Dakota and united with Terry “Duster” Hoffman. Together they had four children; Corey, Curt, Derek, and Stacey.

She graduated from University of South Dakota where she was a registered nurse for 28 years. She spent many years in Tucson Arizona and later resided back home for retirement and to be closer to her family and grandchildren.

Susan loved the sunshine. Spending time outside taking care of her flowers and feeding the birds. She loved to listen to music and dance. She was a natural caretaker and was always taking care of someone. She was a proud mother and enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren.

Susan is survived by her children, Corey (Carrie) Hoffman, Derek Hoffman, and Stacey (Andrew) Hoffman; three grandchildren, Lucas, Thomas, and Natalie Hoffman; three brothers Wayne Lundgren, Mark Lundgren, and Thomas Lundgren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Dorothy Lundgren, sisters Rita Wendte and Mary Habben, and a brother Brian Lundgren. Susan has reunited with her tender-hearted son, Curt Hoffman.
