Susan Rae "Susie" Parks

Susan Rae Parks, 72, of Westfield, Iowa, passed away Sunday, February 14, 20201 at a local care center.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.  Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Susie was born October 22, 1948 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the daughter of Norman and Dorothy (Richards) Gustad.  She graduated from Central High School in Sioux City.  Susie married Timothy Glen Parks in 1976.  He preceded her in death in 2013.  Susie worked for Tegra Corporation for over 40 years, retiring as the Vice President in 2013.  She loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers.  Susie also enjoyed crocheting and sewing, but her greatest love was spending time with her family and spoiling her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. 

Survivors include her children:  Jon (Kari) Wren of Omaha, Joe (Breanna) Wren of Westfield, IA, Patrick Parks of Westfield, IA, and Alyson (Jeff) Carlson of Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren:  Mason (Alyson) Wren, Parker Wren, Kirsten Wren, Cody Wren, Charlie Parks, Sydney Parks, Grady Heuer, and Josey Heuer; great grandchildren:  Dashel, Jaxson, and Thomas; brother Rick (Tammy) Gustad; and a sister Pam (Chad) Hartman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tim, and brother Wally.
