Suzanne Marie (Yandrich) Houdeshell, 69, of Sioux City, Iowa, went to be with the Lord, on Thursday, June 30, after a short illness. A memorial service will be held at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel on August 4th at 7:00 p.m. Family is welcome to come at 6 p.m.
Suzanne was born on January 14, 1953, to John and Shirley (Bronson) Yandrich.
While attending Sioux City public schools, Suzanne was active in the marching band as well as a competitive swimmer for the South Sioux Mariners swim team. After graduating from Central High School, Suzanne attended Wayne State College.
As a young adult, Suzanne worked as a lifeguard and taught swimming lessons for the public pools in Sioux City. Later, she was employed at the Zenith Manufacturing Plant.
Suzy married the love of her life, Paul Houdeshell. During their marriage, the couple was blessed with a son, Eric Houdeshell. After settling in Camarillo, California, Suzanne worked in the general accounting department at Jafra Cosmetics in Westlake Village, California.
After twenty years with the company, Suzy returned to Sioux City to help care for her father. In her later years, Suzanne served as Vice President of Finance for First Financial Bank, Dakota Dunes, South Dakota. After retiring, Suzanne enjoyed time with her son and grandchildren, friends, and traveling.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Michael Yandrich. She is survived by one son, Eric Houdeshell of Sioux City, 2 grandchildren (Angelica and Ivan) of Sioux City.
