Teresa R. Dickson

Teresa R. Dickson Notice Only Please run in the Wednesday edition 05/19 Teresa R. Dickson, 71, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021. Abiding by her wishes her body has been cremated and no services will be held.

Teresa was born the daughter of Hallock and Marcella (Beath) Usher on June 1, 1949. She graduated from Central High School and then Briar Cliff University, where she played on the basketball team, and graduated with a degree in physical education. She married Michael Dickson on June 14, 1971 in Sioux City.

Teresa worked for Salsness Buick & Honda, Condon, and present-day Vern Eide Honda in the parts department until her retirement. She worked for over 20 years part-time for the City of Sioux City, where she enjoyed her time at the Orpheum Theatre.

Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and grandchildren. She loved all sports. She was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. She also liked to watch hockey, do crossword puzzles, and read books.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Michael Dickson of Sioux City; children, Roger (Michelle) Dickson and Matthew Dickson and his friend, Sara all of Sioux City; and grandchildren, Lynnsey Dickson, Jolie Dickson, and Kaitlyn Dickson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dennis Usher.
