February 9, 1953 — February 13, 2022

Terrance "Terry" Kneifl, 69, of Martinsburg, NE, passed away February 13, 2022 at Azria Health Regency.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at a later date.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Terry was born on February 9, 1953 in Ponca, Nebraska, the son of Nick sr. & Agnes (Strauss) Kneifl of Newcastle, Nebraska. Terry married and had a son, Terry Jr. “T.J.”.  T.J. had two daughters, Chloe and Priscilla. Terry's second marriage was to Kathy Bornhorst of Minnesota. She passed away April 2019.  They had no children.  Growing up on the farm, Terry loved taking care of the animals.  When he married Kathy, they bought several calves to raise and spoil.  He always had a huge garden and loved to go bowling.  Trucking was his main occupation; with a CB handle of "muskrat" Terry reached his final 10-20.  He really enjoyed the tv show “Highway to Hell" and watching the weather channel.

Terry is survived by his son T.J., granddaughters Chloe & Priscilla, brother Tony (Laura) Kneifl of Ponca; sisters: Carol Minor of Oceanside, CA, Linda Deabler of Sioux City IA, Mary Jo Jones of South Sioux City, NE, Jeanne (Duane) Fuchser of Porter, TX; sisters-in-law: Mary (Don Sr.) Kneifl of Lincon, NE and Kim (Bob) Kneifl of Ponca, NE.

He is preceded in death by his wife Kathy; parents; step dad, Don Long; brothers: Don Sr., Nick Jr, and Bob; sisters: Joanne McGinty, Betty Pettit, and Shirley Hoffert; brothers-in-law: Jerry McGinty, Ron Pettit, Don Hoffert, Keith Cobb, Ed Jones, and Ray Deabler.

The family would like to thank the Azira Health Regency for going above and beyond in caring for Terry.  They were so good at keeping the family informed at all times, and were great to work with. The nurses were so patient and kind to our brother.  To the Martinsburg Fire/Rescue and the Ponca Fire/Rescue: "thankyou" for the numerous rescue calls you answered and the great care you gave Terry with each call you answered.  Thank you to hospice for responding so quickly, for your kind words and phone calls.  All of you took such good care of Terry.
