Terry G. Ferdig

Terry G. Ferdig, 67, of Sioux City, Iowa died Thursday, June 7, 2018 at his home in Sioux City.Services will be 11:00 Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 Wednesday, June 13, at the Funeral Home. Terry was born December 11, 1950 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Gayle and Joyce (Stingley) Ferdig. He grew up in South Sioux City where he attended school and graduated. Terry continued his education at Western Iowa Tech and received a degree in Livestock Management. He joined the Navy and served during the Vietnam War. Terry married Kathleen Dreckman February 17, 1989. Together they made their home in the Siouxland area. Over the years, Terry worked at Ferdig Landscaping, John Morrell for over 18 years, and retired from Wells Dairy in 2009. He loved spending time with his family. Terry was a big Nebraska fan, was an avid fisherman and liked working with his hands, landscaping and woodworking and watching country westerns. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen of Sioux City; 7 children, Angie (Dan) Pollema of Jefferson, SD, Travis (Lacie) Ferdig of Palmeroy, IA, Jake (Linda) Ferdig of Sioux City, Mike Rohloff and significant other, Amber of Sioux City, Melinda (Loren) Karges of Sioux City, Sonya Ferdig of Sioux City and Tyler Ferdig of Sioux City; 25 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; a brother, Curt (Connie) Ferdig of Dakota Dunes, SD, and a sister, Shelly Franco of Sioux City.Terry was preceded in death by his parents.
