Terry B. Kampfe, 65, of South Sioux City, Nebraska passed away at his residence on Thursday, January 27, 2011.Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. on Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Private family graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa with Pastor Kevin Roach of River Hills Church in South Sioux City officiating.Terry was born December 28, 1945 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Edward and Alice (Langseth) Kampfe. He attended South Sioux City Schools. He married Patricia McKernan in Dakota City, Nebraska on August 13, 1963. He worked for Mid-West Culvert, Mid-West Cartage Trucking Co., and for the City of South Sioux City for over twenty-five years.He enjoyed camping, fishing, car shows and traveling.Survivors include his wife, Patricia Kampfe of South Sioux City, Nebraska; sons, Danny (Angie) Kampfe of Britt, Iowa, Brian (Shelly) Kampfe of South Sioux City, Nebraska, Leroy Kampfe of Sioux City, Iowa, Terry (Shawn) Kampfe of Dakota City, Nebraska; daughter, Tammy (John) Logan of Salina, Kansas; brothers and sisters, Gary (Colleen) Kampfe, Cheryl (Dan) Hutchins, Judy Engel, Margo (Ralph) Smith and Barbara (Jay) Bowman all of South Sioux City, Nebraska and Beverly (Kenny) Smith of Gibbon, Nebraska; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.Terry was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brothers, Larry and Kerry; and nephew, Danny Hutchins.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kampfe family in Terry's memory for benefit of his family.
